3RD DECEMBER - INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
PERSONS WHO ARE DIFFERENTLY ABLED...!!!!
3rd December! For us, it's a very normal day because half of us are not knowledgable about the International Day Of Persons With Disabilities. Above I mention that persons who are abler than normal humans because actually they are having physical disabilities but they are having more mental strength than us. They are doing the things which we can't do with no disabilities. Maybe we are physically more able than them but mentally we are not.
International Day Of Persons With Disabilities is an international observance promoted by the United Nations since 1992. It has been observed with different degrees of success around the world. The main aims of Observance is an understanding of disability issues and find a way of support for the dignity, rights, and well-being of persons with disabilities. it is also needed to increase awareness of gains to be derived from the integration of a person with a disability in every section. Each year they are focusing on different issues.
On the 2012 International Day of People with Disability, the United Kingdom Government introduce mandatory work for the disabled people who receive welfare benefits in order to "Improve disabled peoples chances of getting work by mandatory employment"
Some people include the people who's disabled in different categories and they say disabled people instead of this we have to say differently-abled" people. It can build new self-confidence in them and it is also building a mental strength in their mind.

It is called for a plan of action at the national, regional and international levels with an emphasis on equalization of opportunities, rehabilitation, and prevention of Disabilities
1983-1992: United Nations Decade of Disabled Persons A time frame during which Government and Organizations could implement the activities recommended in the world program of action.

1999: Accessibility for all the new millennium!
2000: Making information technologies work for all!
2001: Full Participation and Equality!
2002: Independent Living and Sustainable livelihoods
2003: A voice of our own!
2004: Nothing About Us Without Us!
2005: Rights of persons with Disabilities-Action in Development!
2006: E-Accessibility!
2007: Decent work for persons with Disabilities!
2008: Rights of Persons with disabilities-Dignity and justice for all!
2009: Empowerment of persons with disabilities and their communities!
2010: Keeping the Promises!
2011: Together- Including persons with disabilities in development!
2012: Removing Barriers to create an inclusive and accessible society for all!
2013: Break Barriers and open the doors!
2014: Sustainable development!
2015: Access and empowerment for people of all abilities!
2016: Achieving the 17 goals for the future!
2017: Transformation towards a sustainable and resilient society for all!
2018: Ensuring the inclusiveness and equality of disabled persons!
2019: Promoting the participation of persons with disabilities!
LET'S MEET SOME DIFFERENTLY ABLED PERSONALITIES...!!!
1. SUDHA CHANDRAN
After that, she can not give up. she overcomes her disability by getting a prosthetic "Jaipur foot" and became one of the most popular classical dances of the country. Having performed Bharatnatyam internationally, Chandran has also been a known personality in the Indian television and film industry. she received many awards.
2. ARUNIMA SINHA
Arunima Sinha is a very strong girl who lost her log when some robbers pushed her out of a moving train. Two years later, she became the first woman amputee to climb Mount Everest. She dislikes the look of pity and sympathy in everyone's eyes and did not want to look upon as a handicapped or disabled person. She has proved that a strong determination and will is far more important than a strong body.Even with a prosthetic leg, she overcomes her challenges and made a history..!!
3. PREETHI SRINIVASAN
Preethi Srinivasan was the caption of the under-19 Tamil Nadu women's cricket team. she was having a swimming accident and she paralyzed below the neck. Even after the accident that left her paralyzed below the neck, she continues to inspire other lives through her organization soul free.she had started to provide hope to women with disabilities and assists them in fulfilling their highest human potential by providing a basic quality of life..!!
4. H. BONIFACE PRABHU
Prabhu's life changed at the age of four when a botched lumbar puncture made him a quadriplegic for the rest of his life. but he never let this disability changes his goal of life and continued his education in a regular school. his hard work and dedication had made him a notable figure and a leading quadriplegic wheelchair tennis player. He was a medal winner at the 1998 world championship and was also awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India.It seems like disability is not a word in his dictionary...!!
5. RAJENDRA SINGH RAHELU
Rajendra Singh Rahelu contracted polio when he was eight-month-old. Since then, he has not been able to walk. But he did not let his disability come in between his dreams. Rahul Decided to Discontinue his studies after completing high school. in 1996, a little encouragement from his friend Rahelu decided to build a career in the sport. He started by lifting a weight of 75 kg. after 6 months of training, he is enough to lift a weight of 115 kg.In 2014, he created history after winning a silver medal in powerlifting at the commonwealth Games...!!
