Hellaro is a 2019 Indian Gujarati period drama film co-written and directed by Abhishek Shah and Produced by Ashish Patel, Nirav Patel, Ayush Patel, Prateek Gupta, Mit Jani, and Abhishekh Shah under the banner of Saarthi Productions and Harfanmaula films.
Hellaro won the national film award for the best feature film at the 66th National Film Awards. It has been officially selected as the opening film at Indian Panorama, at the 50th International Film Festival Of India.
A REAL STORY OF HELLARO
Hellaro Film revolves around a group of women living in Kutch in the 1970s.
In 1975, Rann of Kutch is having very small villages that are not developed. Their women go out and walk many kilometers to fetch the water. Apart from that, they have to wear a proper dress with a gunghat. At that time women are not allowed to speak against anyone or against any crime. even they are not allowed to play Garba.
So, In 1975, A young girl named Manjhri is married to a man who lives in a small village in the middle of nowhere in Rann Of Kutch. There, she joins a gathering of ladies shackled by man-centric orders. Their possibly escape from the concealment is the point at which they leave to get water a ways off waterbody each morning. Other than those couple of hours regular, their lives are bound by the guidelines made by men which they need to comply with. At some point, while on their approach to bring water, they discover somebody in the desert and their lives are changed for eternity.

CONTROVERSY
A police protest under the Atrocities Act was recorded against the movie's maker, chief, and author for utilization of term Harijan in the film's discourse. As indicated by the complainant Jamnaben Vegda, the term is viewed as slanderous by the Scheduled Caste individuals.
